like lazy ears of corn on stalks
with neat little knots of love tied in the end
what are you hiding in your snugly cocoon
when ripe, do you burst like may pops with
a thud or do you whisper quietly as a
feather duster of Japanese lantern swaing
in the cool gentle breeze.
