The Private Eye - looking closely and thinking by analogy with jeweler's loupes and inquiry method for hands-on interdisciplinary science, art, writing, math, and more

Everett, WA Workshop Slideshow

Teachers discover new worlds using The Private Eye. With this hands-on, investigative approach, teachers practice "table-top fieldwork"; they loupe-analogy write, loupe-draw, and move into theorizing. The workshop is conducted by Kerry Ruef, The Private Eye's founder. Displays of Private Eye classroom work (K-12) enliven the room and inspire.  Throughout the day teachers not only delve deep into the process, they explore many curriculum applications across subjects; they move to outside fieldwork, and even preserve a specimen.
